Just click here www.up150.com to see everything you ever wanted to know about the Union Pacific Railroad. This reflects on many of the major milestones for the UP over the past 150 years. Lots of info and many informative videos. Trust me, you do not have to be a UP fan to enjoy and learn from this site.

The NY Times or the Journal had an article about the UP. The print ads they describe sound like they'll be pretty good--sorta reminds me of the old ads in Life magazine by the AAR (?). Sure wish I had the pull and the access granted to the photographer!

The borg has lasted a long time. Since they dropped the fee license nonsense (thanks MTH) and released the heritage units, I think their image has improved with fans and modelers.
Amazing ANY company is around after 150 years.

There is also an app (Apple iPad, iPhone etc.) that lets you keep track of the steam Locos. It's really a pretty cool app and a lot of the info on the 150 yr site can be found here also. The app is free so give it a try. 844 is currently in North Platte on its way back to Cheyenne. It has been here on display in Omaha for about 2 weeks during the College World Series.

I will be at North Platte viewing tower on the 4th if all goes well as planned for next week. ; Yesterday, I visited the Greeley Freight Station Museum and viewed the great HO layout that was featured in MR last year. It is a great layout to see running and is worth the effort to get there and see it. My trips to Denver made it easy to run up there after lunch on Thursday and watch one of the great layouts running trains. Larry
