The Micro Tsunami is prone to heat issues if it isn't properly heat sinked. The Loksound Micro has no heat issues and is actually physically smaller as well. Loksound would get my vote ....

Yes, the Shay was recorded at the Cass Scenic Railway. They also did the Climax and the Heisler. For speakers, do a Google search for "sugar cube speakers" you will get a number of hits with ideas and sources.

Got her 98% done and the sound is so clear and the horn! I couldn't stop playing the horn!
Install was pretty decent just had to get creative with speakers.
Used two zimo sugar cubes 10x15's as a hypabaric enclosure and drilled a hole in bottom and followed the factory wires to the 3rd truck and drilled another hole for speaker wires to run up to the decoder..
I made a tray to lay over the speakers to replace the coal insert bachmann had and layered tacky clear and kept loading my coal grade till it looked right then added spout..
Now my front light sucks! But rear looks prototypical
How do you change or get to front light?
All in all I'm very pleased with the results
And thanks for the help to get her done

SNIP Now my front light sucks! But rear looks prototypical How do you change or get to front light? SNIP First thing I'd check is the boiler front. Often, its a press fit and you can access headlight wiring from there.
