Oh pretty diesel!
My wife and I both have to work or we don't get paid! But I'm counting my blessings regardless in this time of higher unemployment.
Happy 4th to all who get the holiday off!

Speaking of units that Atlas needs to do...
Awesome looking model Tom!
Only problem is if Atlas ever did that CR 7776 GP38 unit their Chinese sub would put the blue paint under the red sections, then paint the red too fast (resulting in maroon or purple instead of red - just like what happened on the Belt Railway MP15DC and the D&H U23B bicentennial units)

Today is a good day for hot dogs, apple pie and Pirates baseball! Tom, don't know if you can answer this . . . the very nice model you are showing has a train control box on the front walkway with the handgrabs on the nose in the correct position because of the train control box position. The train control box, in that position, was a trademark of Pennsylvania Railroad diesel locomotives. PRR never purchased GP-40 locomotives, last 4 axle EMD was the GP-35. Was this locomotive from one of the other railroads that was absorbed into CONRAIL, perhaps NYC?

This GP38 (not a GP40) was purchased by the Penn Central. Most Penn Central locomotives had the train control box located in the same position as the PRR locomotives.
