I'm looking for at minimum the left side long handrail for the Atlas HO U30C Ph2 in black (or other dark color -Atlas still has none available). I also desire black for the rear set. This is Atlas part #730208. I have black for the others and I'm wanting to avoid having to paint this one and risk paint chipping. If someone has a full set I would be interested in that as well. I may be able to find the set I have in white (NOT complete) for trading purposes, but I do have the left side and the rear at my disposal. Lyle =========== This to help complete a U23C project that's been on a back burner for longer than I want to admit

Is there much difference between the U30C handrails and the U33C/U36C handrails? I see Atlas has them in stock.

While they aren't too far apart in length (probably the same), the rails on the two locos are different. The downward bend near the front is closer to the cab on the U33C than it is on the U30C (phase 2), which explains why the third stanchion from the front is spaced differently on the U33C compared to the U30C. The U33C has eight stanchions along the lower section with a little closer spacing between the 8th and 9th than there is between the other stanchions. The U30C has seven stanchions that appear to be evenly spaced all the way across the lower portion of the handrail. I've attached a couple of photos that show the difference The U30C spacing (the model is a U23C) The U33C spacing

Jonathan, I know about have already checked that store. I've got an email in with them on the possibility they have a damaged set that has the two pieces I desire intact. Long shot, but nothing ventured........ Lyle Is that a Proto 2000 cab? John, It is a P2K cab and nose. I had forgotten I had done that. It's been some time since I last picked this model up. I had said in my incorrect response that it was an Atlas cab, it's not. Good eye! I grafted the long hood forward of the radiator section of a U23B into the long hood area of the U30C. <previous wrong answer : The cab is Atlas' from the U30C I'm converting to the U23C locomotive. > Lyle
