Jim - In hard times, it's common for those that you thought were friends, show their true self. Don't despair, as this only helps you in the long run. You didn't want a bunch of phonies anyway, did you? Now you know what their true colors are.
Don't despair.... true friends are out there, but may not know the severity of your situation, or may not be local enough to help. I'm half a country away from you, but can feel your pain through your written words. Please try to keep an open mind, and you may be surprised. Help may be just around the corner. I'm pulling for you, and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Gary.

Bad enough when friends fail you, my family is disintegrating before my very eyes. I did not get the memo that said we all must abandon each other when our parents pass! My sister is going to be on the street and I can't help her, other than to let her live with us, my other sister is loaded and has written us off. I don't know where or from who she learned this it was not our parents I know that. IF I had a 'million dollars' I would NOT have a million dollars, I'd have a THIRD of a million dollars because I would give the rest to my sisters, even the one that does not NEED it!
I could not refuse that girl ANYTHING and WHY she would not do the same is a mystery to me. Family will take you DOWN and rub you OUT far quicker than any 'friend' or even an enemy!
