I've never been to this show, but definitely would like to go. Maybe someday.... For the folks that have been, what would you say the mix of scales is there? I figure a show of this size has lot's of everything, but is one scale dominant? Does in mirror the hobby, with HO being very well represented? Are the operating layouts mostly one scale? Just wondering.... Thanks in advance.

The distribution of the scales at Springfield are probably pretty indicative of a good cross section of the hobby. Certainly HO is predominant, but N scale is also very common. O scale is a bit less common, but can be found. Other scales tend to be more difficult to find. As far as the operating layouts, you will likely find most every scale. Across from our club table is a narrow gauge G scale layout. Most major manufacturers have booths showing their products. Also, many full scale tourist lines and enthusiast groups are represented as well. A little bit of everything.
