Replacing the cable on a Digitrax DT300 controller????

Awhile back I had queried forum members on replacing the "straight" cable on a Digitrax DT400 with a coil cable. Thanks to forum member canrailfan I was able to successfully accomplish that task.

Now when my grandson comes to run trains he says "Grandpa, how come my controller (DT300) doesn't have a cord like yours?". So I have been trying to figure out how to get the DT300 case open, and so far I'm at a brick wall.

Hi Bob,

I'm glad to hear you were successful in changing the cable on your DT400.

The DT300 case should come apart exactly the same way the DT400 did. At what point are you having difficulty?

OK, I must have been trying to do this without my brain engaged. I just looked again after your reply and I had completely missed the screws. Boy, do I feel stupid!!!
