what You have here is an ACF Economy Welded boxcar with "Dartnaught' ends. Atlas has the ends,but not sure about the body with 12 panels ? still should be able to find a Branchline 40' Undec boxcar,get the ends from Atlas,and maybe a Double Panel roof ? the RP CYC article is on other ACF ended cars. Edit - the RP CYC article is for ACF Ends from 1948 to 52 or so.the cars with Dartnaught/Carbuilders Ends will be in a later issue. so the article that I'm thinking about was either in Mainline or Rail Model Journal. will see if that article can be located soon. Rock Island 24000-499,blt 6/50,24500-999 Blt 8/50 24000-499 had Youngstown Doors. 24500-999 had Superior doors. 24968 has Barber S-2 trucks,ASF A-3s were also used. Diagonal Panel roofs. lot 3457. Rock Island 23000-999,Blt 3/52. Youngstown Doors. ASF A-3 Trucks. Lot 3655. Straight Panel Roofs--think Atearn Wide Vision Caboose Roof, or Branchline Despatch Shops Roof. both series had 12 Panel Welded sides,and Dartnaught,or "Car Builders Ends". this Info from RP CYC 29.
