Here's a shot I took at West Colton Yard in Bloomington, CA
I really like the snoot SD40-2s! Kato had actually offered UP 3401 in N-scale. There's one at my LHS, and I'm seriously considering getting it!

Many of you will recognize this from the Walthers Pella Depot kit. I worked at the Pella Window company, which was located right behind this station (to the left in the picture) in Pella Iowa. The picture was taken in 1999, and the station was a museum then. The photo quality was bad because this was a little disposable 110 camera in the hands of a photographer that wasn't much better than the camera.

Donnell, I've had both of the Kato UP SD40-2 snoots since they were first offered. Mine have been 100% trouble free. They run smooth & quiet and pull well. You won't go wrong if you buy one. After all the time it has been sitting, it may need a bit of lube. Don Kalkman

Kato has always been a consistanly solid brand in terms of running characteristics. Their detail is nice as well, and they look even better when you spruce them up with added extras like the BNSF snoot shown in the thread below on The Rail Wire by Ed Nadolski:
