While following the model rr pages over at TRAINORDERS.COM I came across a January posting on that site for bodies of electric prototype locomotives in N scale. most are known as units that operated on the New Haven, but the E 33 originated on the Virginian, merged into N&W, sold to NH, merged into PC and made into Conrail .
See SHAPEWAYS.COM/SHOPS/AMR for viewing and availability
these are bodies only, pantographs and mechanics to be supplied by purchaser.
At least one other modern electric pantagraph loco is to be offered.
An Osgood-Bradley "American Flyer" N scale coach is also said to be in the pipeline. NH, PC, B&M, BAR, LIRR, SAL and SSW operated these cars.
Please pass this information on to those who maybe interested

I have an E44 under construction. IMHO the body is very well done (but then again the prototype makes this relatively easy). I am not going to use the handrails supplied, will make my own. Pantographs came from a Bachmann E60 obtained from ebay. Frame/motor/trucks from a Atlas C628. Okay, so the trucks won't be accurate, but what are you going to do? I've cut the fuel tank off, we'll see if that is a detriment to good operation.
A couple more weeks and I expect it to be done. A second unit has been authorized by management

Bill, thanks for the information. I was wondering where to get a pantograph-- that was a show-stopper in trying to build this.
I wonder if the aftermarket value of Bachmann's E60s has just shot up...

The Japanese manufacturers make pantographs for their Japanese electrics. They sell them individually also. They may not be an exact match for anything US but some maybe close.

New Haven often ran sets of E 33s with only 1 unit having a working pantograph. High mounted high voltage cables allowed this to work.
I have a copy of a photo showing E 33 301 w/Pant down leading E 33 302 w/pant up leading a freight
