Is there a way to determine the # of the sound file loaded on a ESU Select decoder if you do not have a ESU Programmer. I'm thinking is there possibly CVs that contain the #.
Thanks. Bob

I've never found a readout, like Digitrax does with their files. What do you have, that you are looking for the file number?

Nope - No CV read-out to determine sound file. Same as Tsunami - I have three old Tsunami decoders in the drawer that I have no idea what is loaded on them.

OK....I've searched the web trying to determine a couple things concerning ESU decoders, but not sure I have the answer, So I thought I'd ask here.
- Is LOKSound Select #73900 the one that will plug directly into a 21 pin socket, no wired connector?
- is LOK Pilot #54615 the one that will plug directly into a 21 pin socket, no wired connector?
Trying to get confirmation for installation into Fox Valley GP60's.
Thanks. Bob

That is correct. The sound decoder does have wires for the speaker.

You may not need the two attached speaker wires if the mother-board supports speaker pads. Pins 9 and 10 on the integral 21 pin socket are designated as the speaker terminals for direct connection through the mother board. If your mother board should have pads for speakers (and I suspect they would), just remove the two external wires.

Yes, I have verified the main light board (can we even call them that anymore?) has the speaker connection from the 21 pin header. Bob
