Another speaker question

Enjoyed the 'sugar cube' speaker information.

The thread lead me to another question. Are the speakers discussed a new phenomenon or are older cell phone speakers usable for model rr use? I have 'harvested' the speakers out of a couple of old flip phones in the junk drawer, a Sanyo and a Kyocera. Certainly are small but weren't for much more than voice. Just curious.

Karl.....I would guess like all things electronic the newer speakers may be better quality sound. However, since you have them recycled I would suggest wire one up and see what you get. Only takes a few minutes and some scrap styrene.
