Thanks guys for the kind words about my contributions... All is well here. Just busy... I was taking a break away from the forum. I got tired of the trolls, graffiti, and some other things and just decided to take a few months away... Apparently I was also in the "penalty box" but didn't realize it - as I was not emailed and the only contact was in the personal messages which I never saw until tonight when I decided to drop in, log in, and catch up... Last couple of times I dropped in I was irritated by what I saw before I even logged in, so just decided to stay out of the fray a bit longer... This time I saw eh49's posting and decided it would be best that I reply. I'll make a few postings tonight then who knows, might take another break out of the fray... Hope everybody is having a great summer!

Curt, Glad to see you back! You've made a lot of good, intelligent posts. There have been times when I've disagreed with a few of your comments. However, after a while, I realized that you reminded me of a manager that I used to work with at a transit system. He was professionally minded, down to earth, and gave his subordinates a fair shake. But he would not sugarcoat anything (not even to his bosses). Terry tended to "shoot from the hip" when it came to providing the truth with detailed facts in any situation. He didn't hesitate to take required courses of action (even if they were metaphorically painful). It was a quality that helped my department improve its performance and gain respect with the "brass" in the front office. High Greens  |
