Good looking stuff guys. Marcus, The ghost of Southern Pacific called... They want their dirt back. The big news this week was completion of track at Snowden, end of the Cascade Branch. It's a tidy little yard that handles crude oil, pipe trains and a pole train every one in awhile. Double-headed pipe train passing Black Cat Junction, which the crew notes is mysteriously missing its station... And crawling past Summit... Arrival in Snowden finds the BCJ station relocated there. Rolling the crude through Crater Lake. And I did take a few pics of the little RR down the road.

Here is the work I have done on the PC X79 RBL since last week, it has been washed and the roof painted with Floquil Platinum Mist, will mask the roof as the area over the doors needs to be in PC Green. The "B" end of the car, including ladders, grab, placcard board, cross-over platform, cut lever, brake housing and brake wheel. Side of the car complete with grabs at each end, door stops and all the rodding for the plug doors installed. As an added attaction some PC action! PC SD45 and SD40 going through the town of Thurd on the Strongsville Society of Model Railroad Engineers club layout. Thanks for looking! Rick J

Here's my finished model of NOKL 824794, an Evans 4780 hopper. I used the Walthers EEC Merna car as a starting point for this since the shade of orange was closer to what I needed over the Exactrail car. It's lettered with an Oddballs decal set, it's not perfect since it was probably intended to be used on a FMC 4700 so the spacing is not really correct in some places. These old Evans cars seem to really rust out, so it ended up getting a heavy weathering following this prototype- rrpicturearchives.net/rsPicture.aspx?id=827234 Brad

Nice work this week guys! Some progress from last week on my Cannon & Co GN combination door box, both sides are done, glued to the modified end pieces. Here's the Intermountain FMC 5283 all finished, I exchanged the stock trucks for Athearn Genesis and added some Plano cut bars, it's weathered a little to represent the mid '70s. I really like this car and will try to find another. Like a lot of us I have too many cars so this car and it's planned mate will replace these 3 older cars which I'll sell later this year at a local swap meet.

Looking good all.
Mark, are the top two MDC cars in the bottom photo? The other an Athearn?

This is my first post. I have enjoyed many photos from others and a friend posts here as well. So here we go! A turbine powered reefer train passes a SDP35 powered hotshot changing crews as a set of U50's waits to follow..... Just another day in 1967 on the UP. Attachments:
