Just finished looking at my copy of the new Chessie System in Color book by Bob Withers (Morning Sun Books). For 20+ years I've waited through the "[Insert Railroad Name] in Color" series by Morning Sun Books for this eventual release and I am well pleased with it. 128 pages of fine memories. Hopefully there will be volumes two, three... to follow.
Book has several yard photos, some aerial photos, photos of the initial show equipment, and a final section showing just how wide was the variety of items that got Chessie markings "back in the day". Clean loco photos, dirty/working loco photos, and predecessor (not yet properly adorned) painted equipment, plenty of cabooses, and yes, even some Chessie steam and tugs... However modern railroad "artwork" fans might be disappointed, as the book clearly represents the visual "tagless" norm of railroading as it existed in the 1972-1987 range of the photos in the book.
PS. Repeat looks at the book have discovered several other 1970s gems, from trains with Vert-a-Pac cars, brand new DRGW orange ACF covered hoppers (being pulled out of the old ACF plant in Huntington), 40' boxcars, 50-ton hoppers...

I agree. This was a fun look back. My only complaint is the book jumped around in locations. It would have been nice to see a regional organization.
