Good Saturday Morning to all the Forum Folks. Been EXTREMELY busy with work and home activities of late. Work related stuff will continue to keep me heavily occupied for the immediate, forseeable future. I did get out back one day this past week and run trains for a bit, but right this minute, I can't recall which night it was! ;D Even managed to get the yard mowed, between days of rain/t-storms. Brunch is ready and the coffee is fresh brewed. Come in and have a cup or two and relax a bit. Hope that everyone has a good day.

96 yesterday in my part of Michigan and today is forecast to get about like that, too.
Went to the Nat'l train show in Grand Rapids yesterday and it was nice.
Lots to do today, so I'll keep it brief.
BE SAFE!!

So far, the replacement motor in my GP15 is working well. My nephew is moving into an apartment today, and he and his dad are stopping by here for some donations to his apartment, furniture-wise. He's starting college in 3 weeks, and wants to be settled in, and know where most of the places are he needs to go, by then.

I've been busy painting a bedroom. My youngest son finally left the nest, which was our last, so my wife has me changing the whole house around. Trains are having to wait awhile.

Good morning. Just coffee for me, please. I am heading to a swap meet in a few minutes. I am taking a few high dollar rtr items to put on the white elephant table, and looking for some kits. We will see what I bring home.

Someone should post a date on these threads.....ditto my last post except it's only 60 degrees and we've had 40 hours of rain, the first since April.

I find it a little awkward trying to respond to a previous day's post. If I respond in the correct day, nobody knows WTH I am talking about. If I post in the previous day's thread, everybody probably thinks I don't know what day it is.

Heck, the way things have been at work, I'm not too sure about what day it is!! Just coming up for a bit of air. Been another 6 day work week with either long work days and/or stuff that needs doing plus taxi duties. With plenty of cloud cover the past several days, I'm not always sure if I'm coming, going or both at the same time!! Next week isn't really looking much better, work-wise. We've had rain once, twice or three times a day, except Thursday, this past week, including today. The yard is soggy, the grass needs mowing and it's waaayyyy too wet. Daytime temps are still in the upper 80's to low 90's. I did spend some time late, late, Wednesday night in the train building, letting a train run while I put up my last four, 3' shelves, with 3 tracks each, so I could finish unpacking the last of my train cars. Only a couple of minor damages that were re-glued and one shorty tanker that will need a couple of the A-line sill steps installed. I still need more storage capacity, but no place to put it. I'm still "looking" and something may come to me. I'm off tomorrow, but still on call and my daughter may stop by to visit. Waaayyyy too late for coffee. I'm ready for a couple glasses of wine!

I had to deliver a travel trailer to Holly Ridge yesterday. I managed to dodge most of the rain going out, but coming back I was in a mess from there to here. Then driving through monsoons both ways to the "local" train show... Now that I'm home, I think I'll forget the wine, and have a scotch and soda, hold the soda!

Terry, I may have asked this before, but where do you live? I was a police officer in Holly Ridge from 1987 to 1989, then Chief of Police 1989 to 1993, before I took the Chief's job in Rose Hill, where I've been, ever since!! What "local" train show did I miss?

What "local" train show did I miss? The one in Lynchburg, at the Ruritan Club. I live in Winston Salem, and work for the Arstream trailer dealer here. I delivered the trailer to the Topsail RV park in Holly Ridge. I have been thinking, which is always dangerous for me... Why couldn't we have a weekly lounge, instead of daily? It might give our conversations a little more continuity.

I think you might be onto something there, Terry. Should we consider Monday as the "Start" of the week? Winston-Salem...... One of my part-timers, a retired Chief, lived in that area for years and has a son who works for a FD. Not sure if it's W-S's though. There's no way you were going to make that trip and not hit any rain last week! ;D Lynchburg would have been nowhere near "local" for me. LOL
