I didn't take a video, but after driving 15 hours to Trainland to make it in time for free donuts this is an artists rendition of what I looked like:

The selection of doughnuts is a safety thing... Free bagels on Long Island could lead to mass chaos and stampedes...

Trainland isn't in New York City, its out on Long Island. recall seeing it or Trainworld when going to Motion Performance to get Headers for my Capri. believe that was Sunrise Highway ? last trip to the Island was to Nausau Colesium to see Ted Nugent open for Black Sabbeth. after Ted, Sabbeth was so pathetic left after about 3 things they pretended were songs. maybe Long Island is an Aquired Taste ? Spikre

TrainLand is about 4 miles and about 20 traffic signals east of NYC/Queens border in Nassau County (Rte 27 Sunrise Highway corridor signals I used to work with about 20 years ago). Nice shop chock full of model train items, and a place I visited almost every business trip up there. I always had to try to figure out how many model train cars or locos I could fit in the carry on for the flight back (in a time when less questions were asked about carry-on contents).

I recently flew with a carry on FULL of Kato N scale and Rapido HO scale products (had a few clothing items as cushioning, but mainly trains). The agent working the X-ray gave a weird look, pulled the bag for a secondary inspection, and that's when I said "It's whole bunch of model trains". Even more weird looks from the X-Ray tech, the other agent doing the inspection closed the bag and handed it back to me. Then briefed the X-Ray tech about what trains look like on then X-Ray. You'll get some weird looks, but nothing too bad these days. Trainland / Trainworld is on my visit list when I'm in the NYC area. Goodness knows they get a large cut of my paycheck anyways...

I had a similar incident many years ago, but mine was with a single Micro-Trains boxcar in my carry-on. It looked strange to them, so I let them take a close look. I think the inspectors were fascinated. They told me that perhaps it was the specific composition of the metal in the underframe that made the X-ray scanner nervous.

Mine were mainly in the Kato "bookcases". They looked neat in the X-ray!
