looked over but havnt gotten it yet,but DERECO IN Color by Arthur Erdman is a fine look at the late 60s,early 70s Northeastern Rail Problems. and the called off C&O-N&W Merger that begot DERECO. the book covers B&M,CNJ,EL,Reading and D&H. D&H was actually the only Profitable road involved,so why they accepted the bleak DERECO Terms is a bit of a mystery. planning on getting the book soon, but if any one already has it,give some thoughts on the Book. Art Erdman was a Tower man on the EL NY Division, and have a feeling He was one of the Tower men at WC Tower that ran me out occiassonally, but that's all in the Past now. Art has been doing a column of Memories for the ELHS Diamond for about a decade now,so He has been around. Spikre

Sounds like an interesting read, but at $59.95 I’ll have to seek out one on sale or a used copy (once they’re available). Dereco In ColorThanks, Mark

atsfan, yes this is a Morning Sun book,so its very heavy on Pictures. but also seems to have more Text than a regular Morning Sun book. lots of pics of D&H Bandit U33Cs,which did go back to EL late 75, or early 76.EL repainted them back to EL before CR Day. Mark, check some Book Sellers should be slightly cheaper. or if Your an ELHS Member it will be less than list if You are a member. ELHS should carry this book as Art E. is a Member in Good Standing.
