Guys this is a popular motor.I purchased a couple a few years ago.Excellent running for locos. Recently i purchased exact same model motor again. Problem it runs way faster rpm than my first purchase.I cannot figure this out. Both have the Mabuchi motor sticker on them with model FK 130 SH on them. Any ideas?...........its pretty much twice the speed and very rapid from throttle start, previous purchase a nice smooth slow take off etc.Surely there is only one FK 130 SH motor..............there is one lower voltage but last two letters different i believe. Thanks Steve

Is it possible one is a RH instead of SH?

That crossed my mind as Mabuchi offers to versions of this motor one ending in the letters you just mentioned. How could the sticker on the model get messed up like that seems a bit odd.Yes the RH motor same number has lower voltage operating so more high speed. Steve

Well i think something fishy going on.The spec sheet at Mabuchi for this motor and that was what i based my purchase on is not same as spec sheet shown with product on E Bay from what i can see.Yet both motors my previous purchase which i believe corresponds operational wise with Mabuchi spec sheet and new purchase have exact same Mabuchi sticker with the FK 130 SH on it............i assume the numbers below model number maybe batch or MFG ID. The original motor acts like a 12 volt motor the new motor basically just takes off...........i note the operational voltage on EBay for this motor not same as Mabuchi specs.Anyways i think i will give up on this motor and resource something. Tried looking for some one to query this puzzle but didnt find any one to call.Steve

Well i looked at basic specs at Mabuchi and E Bay seller.Without delving into the nitty gritty i get the motor rated at 7200 rpm at 12 volts which is more like it in terms of my original purchase of this motor and when looking at the 5 or so listings of this motor on EBay from ,China,Hong Kong etc its rated at 16000 at 3 to 6 volts. All listings pretty look like same set up different sellers. So the motor is labeled wrong, specs changed or they are a X motor with a label thrown onto them.Steve

Also, it depends on how trustworthy the seller is on eBay. Stickers are easy to slap on stuff.
