Many small towns in Canada have some sort of railway display, recalling a time when trains used to stop instead of just pass by. Faced with a bit of space to fill on my layout, I thought a display and museum might make a good scenic feature. More info and photos on my blog at cprailmmsub.blogspot.ca/2012/08/a-railway-museum-for-cp-rail-manitoba.htmlAnyone else have a railway display on their layout? An old steam loco in a park, perhaps? Nice idea. And a place to park that old steamer that you just couldn't resist.

Depending on how elaborate you want to get, you could even have a modern diesel "positioning" the "new" addition, with a crew in attendance. Looks like you might have room for that, if the tracks disappear behind a hill.

I don't have the room for such a display, but I think it's a neat idea if you have the space.
