Hello folks! A couple of years ago I bought a pair of BLI Paragon 2 E8 locos. I intended to run these primarily on DC, plus they would not give me the scale top speeds I wanted...so out came the decoders and everything got wired up straight DC. I used one of the two decoders in a BLI SD7 loco about a year ago. Everything worked as you would expect....except that the loco will no longer respond to DC. I made no attempt to reconfigure the Paragon 2 module, or any such thing. So what do I do to get the DC operation back into this set-up. I just placed the second module into another SD7...and it has responded the same way; no DC. Ideas? Comments? Thanks !

If you ever set the road number, it probably was set to "digital only". You would need to set cv29 to 38, so it will respond to DC.

That got it running...do you know the DC shut -off number in case I ever need it? Do you know the function of the small chip that comes with Blue Line and occupies the 8 pin adapter on the mother board?

That 8 pin thingy in a Blueline engine is just a dummy plug, similar to what Atlas uses.
