I have an SDH166 decoder which works just terrific in DCC as you'd expect. It doesn't budge an inch in straight DC. Anyone know how to re set it for DC operation? I'm currently NOT using the sound option with this installation, as there's no speaker room. Thanks!

You need to check CV29 to see if "Analog" operation is turned off. Use the CV29 calculator below to set it to the correct value. www.digitrax.com/support/cv/

If it's a 2-digit number, generally CV29=006. If it's got 4-digits, then it should be CV29=038.
CV29 does do a few other things, like reverse the normal direction of travel (NDOT), set the number of speed steps (14/28/128), and the use of the 28-step speed tables. But usually you want 128 speed steps, normal direction to be forward, and not use the speed steps, so the above two values should be all you need for analog mode to work on your decoder.

By golly....Digitrax advised me to do a reset, CV 8 to 8. Did it and WOW...she runs like a dream! This is in both DC and DCC. Now I really want to wedge a speaker into this buggy somehow !
