I finally took more photos of my Bromine and motor oil two dome. What sort of bearings are in the trucks on the two dome? The "cap" is a new one to me.

I'm not sure, but I copied the prototype trucks. The trucks are plastic that I added springs to.

Bobby, I know I have said it before but that Bromine Tank car is my favorite of all your builds! I managed to get a couple of cars complete this week with several others under construction. First up is a McKeen Models ACF 50' Combination Door Boxcar kit, changed the kit door to a 9' Slider to match the prototype, added Details West Extended Coupler Pockets and A-Line Sill Steps, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and then lettered with Highball Graphics Decals. This is a Hi-Tech Models 40' PS HY-Cube Boxcar kit, can't be seen but I added airlines, levers and rodding for the brake gear to complement the sparse under body details, all replaced the plastic sill steps with A-Line sill steps. Painted the car with Scalecoat II Aluminum (Roof) and Boxcar Red, then lettered with Mask Island Decals for this car. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski

Beautiful work this first week of the new year guys! A three day road trip with my band ( plus lots of rehearsal time) kept me from finishing anything so I have recent stuff to share. Happy 2016! Best, Mark Ratty F's

Signals and Track were the projects last week. Yeah, I know it looks scary, but it looks better on the outside and works great. It's a diode-driven electric token system. Basically, it's first come, first served, one customer at a time for the brief backtrack from Silverton to Tefft to connect trains to the Cascade Extension. With this and the track and rolling stock improvements that allow six-axle diesels on the Cascade line, trains now operate through Silverton and onward to Crater Lake, basically doubling my main line run. The signals sort out this hiccup in the middle. No need to tell me it's not a true interlocking. I've got local signal experts to tell me where it falls short. But it does solve the conceptual problem that left them telling me the same train will need 4 different train numbers to traverse the 4' of track these signals cover...I understand, but no we don't need that sort of complexity to confuse the great unwashed at every ops session. The signals just work and they look good, too. Now I have to update the schedule to reflect the extended main, but that's a good thing. There's a build thread here if you want to know more: cs.trains.com/mrr/f/88/t/253256.aspxSpent most of my Xmas cash in new track, which arrived yesterday, so the track gangs have been hard at work, laying an extra storage track for equipment in Silverton and adding roadbed for the next project, a siding at Summit.

Finished this NW C-31P caboose. Still needs some weathering, but for the most part it is finished. Added a Moloco cupola with the outset windows, moved a window, filled a window, changed a window from square to oval. Built a propane tank, added DW cushion coupler pockets, moved the smoke jack to other side, added brake levers and plumbing, and some cut levers. Regards, Brian

Tankcar Are those cars built from kits or are they scratch/kitbashed. I am thinking the latter as it is what I see you do most of the time. Dan
