Dave Are these units using parts from the SD90Mac units that were scrapped? Larry Larry - I'm pretty sure that although they resemble the components on newer EMDs, the PR30C is rebuilt with new parts. Here's the Wikipedia write-up: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progress_Rail_PR30CThat would make for a good subject for a brass model, since a kitbash would involve some significant scratchbuilding of parts. It's nice that we are forcing the RR to keep it clean, but, what about those gazillion 18 wheelers out there? I would suspect that the trucks would be greater polluters than the locomotives just due to their numbers. But on the bright side, down the road we'll have some new models to acquire. Let's see, Intermountain will make the Gevo's and Athearn will produce the SD59MX in their Genisis line. Pre order now for delivery in 2016, MSRP $800. Wow, I need more coffee!
