A quote from the Philadelphia Inquirer:
"In his testimony to the National Transportation Safety Board earlier this month, Thomas Connor, 30, an Amtrak employee since 1980, said he accidentally switched a Washington-to-Boston train traveling 90 m.p.h. onto a track occupied by a slow-moving maintenance vehicle."
I'd sure like to have overheard the discussion at Amtrak when they looked over his job application form.

No it's just typical BAD media reporting if he's only 30 now but hired in 1980! LOL

Terry,
He was MINUS 6 when he was hired. So just WHO was endorsing his paychecks? And, for that matter, what was his job assignment?

Today's so called news media is a embarrassment since they apparently never check the story facts or hire proof readers. A prime example from a local newspaper-"Man leads Police in high speed chase".A six year old man lead yada, yada, blah, blah. I would like to see a six year old man. It was supposed to have been a sixty year old man.

It's not just "local" papers. The New York Times has 1300 newsroom people, none of whom seem to be proofreaders. At least judging by the errors that come out.
