Looks like a driver of a truck decided to drive in front of the CZ and lived to tell the tale. Main text from one of the reports:
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. -- Amtrak's California Zephyr 5 train slammed into a truck Tuesday afternoon.
There were 191 passengers on the train at the time of the crash, but Amtrak said no one was hurt.
The driver of the truck, 40-year-old Ever Vega of Glenwood Springs, was able to get out of his 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 and was taken to Valley View Hospital, The Post Independent reported.
The Colorado State Patrol told The Post Independent that Vega suffered minor injuries. The Post Independent also reported Vega's truck was pushed about 500 feet down the tracks.
Vega will be charged with failure to obey a railroad crossing and failure to provide proof of insurance.
