Guys,
Thought some of you might be interested in a new video showing the method I've used to make most of the deciduous trees on my HO layout. My technique is a sort-of modified version of Scenic Express' Super Sage/Super Tree method. This method is super easy and produces nice, realistic foreground trees. If you've watched any of my layout videos, you've seen these trees in the Sedalia, Larkspur and Palmer Lake areas of my layout. I'd just never gotten around to doing a "how to" video on the technique until now.
Hope you enjoy the video.
Cheers,
Kevin

I'll be needing to make a few trees, so this looks like a helpful thing. Thanks!

Impressive looking trees there Kevin. Those super sage brush trunks have a lot of detail and texture and creates a Sharpe looking specimen tree. A few here and there up front and center really stand out. I just ordered the Scenic Express super sage starter kit which has most of all the materials you mentioned less the hair spray & spray paint.
I enjoyed your video, Thanks for posting it.

Living in Montana, sage brush is all over the place and I have been using it for many years. I would post some photos, but for some reason I haven't been able to post photos of any kind lately. Sage brush is excellent as the natural texture of it looks just like tree bark. If you need trees, this is the way to go.

Speaking of sage brush, I've been needing to model that; I really like the look Rob Spangler gets on his wp8thsub. For those he uses paint stripping pads cut into small pieces and coated with Eucalipytus or Sage colored ground foam.
