I've been doing a little looking around and was wondering if anyone has found any good sites or vendors who have 4' LED shop light fixtures that would work for layout room lighting. I've got a few T8 twin 4' fixtures but need to add more lighting and was thinking of getting LED's shop lights this time. Suggestions?

Costco and Sam's have them.
I've also had good luck with some at Lowes and Home Depot.
You can also retrofit LED's into your older T8's (the new bulbs are ballast compatible).

I have heard Costco has them and would go that route but I don't have a membership and don't know anyone who does have one. I have looked at Lowes and HD and so far, I haven't seen any in the "low cost" category - theirs are substantially more expensive.
I am aware that I could remove the ballast from existing T8 fixtures and may do that but prefer to find some decent LED twin 4' tube fixtures hopefully for around ~$30 that are 4k temp and similar or greater lumens than the twin T8 32 watt fluorescent fixtures I have. The fixtures I do have I bought at Home Depot for around $13 or so without the 4' bulbs, and am not sure if they are user friendly for de-ballasting.

You may not have to de ballast (Depending on which LED bulb you buy). FYI. They pop up on woot! here and there, but that's a limited time offer. Might want to try Amazon as well. $30 might be a bit of a stretch. I've been bare fixtures go for $20-30, then the cost of bulbs. Looks like Sam's club has what you're looking for (find a friend and bum along with them). www.samsclub.com/sams/search/searchResults.jsp?searchCategoryId=all&searchTerm=shop%20light&fromHome=yes&_requestid=1810905&test=18pluswww.samsclub.com/sams/4ft-led-shoplight-shoplight-led/prod16460030.ip

Yes, I have seen there are some LED 4' T8 format bulbs which are considered plug & play for existing ballast fixtures. Do you have any links to vendors which offer them at attractive prices, such as around $10 each?
I know there are products available that will fit what I want, but the trick for me is finding them at prices where I can outfit a total fixture for around $30 roughly. The LED market is getting there so it's more a matter of locating the vendors; I've done some searching but ... and I think I've seen them but maybe some of those better deals came and went.
If anyone is aware of some online vendors etc. or sources that the average Joe can use, please post.

That's about as cheap as I could expect yes but ... I see the link is for a 10 pack so have to drop 100 bucks, which I can't afford that and I only need four max. Thanks
