i need some more help gang please. I went to Joan's with my wife and chanced upon a clear polystyrene box and bought it. I have cut it up into 3/4" strips for the car windows but...... these windows need to represent 31% grey laminate glass. So how do I stain this poly grey and keep it translucent? I thank you for any thoughts.

I have used Alclad II for the tint in green, but they make a gray also. This product is easy to use with an air brush. You simply spray very light and count each pass of the spray until the correct tint is on the plastic. Search out Alclad Lacquer paint. The have a great web site than shows results of the paint. No problem. I looked at the new web site but could not locate the exact tint to use for a gray or smoke color. It was listed as a smoke tint for canopy type use on aircraft. My local shop had the color I use for the tinted green, which is not listed on their chart. You might email them and ask which one is best for your application. I normally start my airbrush extremely light so the color just barely starts to show and then end up with 6 or 8 passes to get even and good results. Larry
