I had gone to DCC trains to pick up some items that they got in the shop for me and I noticed Alex repairing a brand new Scale Trains N scale UP turbine that a customer had brought into the store because it did not work. I have to hand it to Alex as the customer did not purchase the locomotive from them because they were taken off the retailers list for some unknown reason that Scale Trains will not disclose to the owners. DCC trains could have told the customer to send it back to Scale Trains to fix the problem but did not. Instead Alex took over an hour of his time and repaired the locomotive for the customer, which saved him not only S&H/Insurance, but his time to re-box PO travel time. Also the customer was very gratified to have his locomotive running without delay. I thought here is a shop that helps a customer without charging him to repair a Scale Trains locomotive (that they refuse to sell to), is willing to still repair their locomotive. Kudos to DCC Trains! Stephen

atlasrescueforum.proboards.com/thread/5274/scaletrains-eliminating-dealersPlan simple English direct from Scale Trains mouth on what is expected of retailer. No difference really from Horizon or Walthers who require minimum monthly orders that a store IS REQUIRED to make month after month.

Since this started with an N Scale repair, shouldn't it be on the N board, or maybe the crew lounge...

It was in the HO forum, where it would get the most play, but was moved into the proper forum, where it got the attention it deserved.
