Would have to ask the new member why he revived this thread instead of posting on the other one. This happens so often on all sorts of forums I can only guess they used a search engine to look for the topic and didn't pay attention to the posting dates. Here's somebody's video review of the ST CSX SD40-2 rebuilds; they do exist. Start the debate about if the yellow is correct: I'm fairly certain the initial CSX rebuild comment was for the 1700's, not the square cabs. So they havent been done. And yes, the gold on the CSX units have been proper from Scaletrains.

Hasn't the CSX rebuilds with the ugly cab been done in HO? Atlas did NS SD60E's in N and they sold well enough to get a second run. Those are SD40-3s. CSX also has ECO units that a very similar to CP's.

They're just an example of a rebuilt SD40-2 that has been done in HO. And the color thing is a joke
