Can some DCC expert tell me why my Atlas GP7 would run fine yesterday and yet today when I power up it won’t move.
I get the engine ticking over, the horn and bell works and I can switch the lights on and off but when I open the throttle the engine doesn’t rev up and the loco doesn’t move. I successfully reprogrammed the loco address but still no movement! I then tried to do a factory reset but that was unsuccessful because I couldn’t read the CVs! The locomotive has a factory installed decoder and it has never run in a consist. Any ideas anyone.

Maybe the wheels or track are dirty? I don't know much about DCC.

I'm HO but no response so I shall give it a shot .Not sure if its a QSI sound. You could refer to manual at Atlas site. Reset with wand , three toots I think. On reset you use address 3 until you reprogramme address. QSi has a hard cv reset to refer to manual. Like I say I'm not O so don't know anything about this loco. Qsi also has a shut down and start up sequence I think, F6 and F9.So rest with correct cvs or wand and then address3.Steve
