Atlas 0 two stall brick engine shed questions

I have one. In pieces, some parts never taken off the sprues, some (sides) used for a while for another purpose, now repatriated.

Assembly seems pretty intuitive, sides assembles, spacer columns in, corners going together....but....

I have 6 pieces, now off the sprues, labeled 1042-1 (guessing this is kit number 1042), black, big, four shaped like a square capital E, two like a double-sided square capital E.

No idea where they go.

They are just too narrow (by over an inch) to go crossways inside the shell.

I have searched for either photos of the underside (none so far) or assembly instructions on-line (even Atlas doesn't have them up).

Any help?

Yes...and this morning Bill Serratelli from Atlas sent me the entire instruction manual in .pdf format!
