Fellow modelers, I just noticed the following in the Facebook portion of the home page at www.atlasrr.com :

"Atlas is looking for a full time, in-house person to join our Product Development team in our Hillside, NJ office. Duties include:
•Assisting the Product Development team with researching and planning production runs.
•Researching, specifying and reviewing new models for possible production
•Working with graphic artists to develop artwork for monthly releases
•Review drawings, test shots, pre-production and production samples, as well as samples from incoming shipments, for Quality Control and adherence to requisite standards.
•Knowledge of prototype and model railroads, and Microsoft Excel required.
•Knowledge of digital control systems and/or CAD software helpful
•Some domestic and overseas travel may be required

This is certainly NOT Model railroad related. It is a JOB POSTING and has nothing to do with HO scale trains. Job postings do not belong on this forum.

It's not a job posting. It is a REPORT of a JOB POSTING.

And it would appear to have very much to do with HO scale trains. As opposed to, say, video games.

Sure, maybe not HO specifically but members here are interested in the goings on of some of our favorite model train manufacturers - this one makes O, HO and N. Nothing wrong here.

Look at the banner at the top of the page. It has the name of this forum.
Look at the job posting again and see where the job will be.

Sure it is a job posting. They appear often on all sorts of model railroad related sites. The real news that can have an effect on the hobby in general is who is collecting applications. That may be a hint about a fundamental change occurring at Atlas.

I just checked where this thread is located. Crew Lounge. Not scale specific, and off-topic. So, it doesn't really matter if it's HO, O, N, Z, or 1:1, it's in the right place to be posted.

The fundamental change would be Rob Pisani leaving Atlas, as has been announced in a couple places.

This would be a great opportunity for someone who knows everything about railroads.
