Finished a kitbash of the private car "Sierra Hotel". I saw the prototype car yesterday as it left Chicago on the rear of the Empire Builder.

Here is what I have been working on the last couple of weeks, three ExactRail 4780CF Evans Covered Hoppers. The kit contents prior to opening all the little packages. Weights added to the bays, makes for a properly weighted car with the weight down low. Attached the air reservoir to the bulkhead. Drilled out the air reservoir for the lines to the ABD valve. Attached the bulkheads and gussets to the bottom of the car. Attached the ABD Valve and Sill Steps to the Bolster. Drilled out the holes in the ABD valve for the air lines. Air lines attached from the ABD valve to the reservoir, glued the end cages to the car and then the metal grabs where needed. I need to straighten out the ladder rungs yet and due to some parts being missing in the kit (on one I received two B ends and no A end) I am down to assembling only two of the three kits I have. Thanks for looking! Rick J

Bob, 1792 looks pretty good there on the mainline.
Bill, the "Sierra Hotel" looks very nice.
Rick, nice progress on those ER 4780's.

Bob, I like the locomotive and couldn't help notice the grass in the foreground. Nicely done as it adds to an otherwise exceptional scene.
Bill, Love the "Sierra Hotel, passenger car. Now when did you say you'd be finishing mine?
RickJ, Some nice work on the covered hoppers.
Thanks for sharing here.
