I have two 12 volt busses running around the layout we are building - one for all DCC electronics and one for Tortoise switch machines. I have the opportunity to run a 3.3 volt and 5 volt busses around the layout but I cannot think of a reason on what I would use either for. Anyone have any practical ideas?

Ditto Mark's answer. Depending on the light configuration (how many, what type, etc), may need to add a small value resistor to lower the voltage. That's exactly what I'm doing, except I'm taping off the 12VDC accessory bus using these. Bob
