Runs well on DC through the transformer but when try to go through transformer attached to MRC 2000 only one light works and it does not move. All other engines run through that system by Bachmann. Any ideas?

This is an Atlas RS3, right? Does it have a decoder? Is it DC only? I don't know if a Bachmann DCC system will operate a DC engine. If the Atlas RS3 has DCC, it probably also has sound, so you would need to hit function 8 to get it to start up.

If it's a newer Atlas DC engine, you cannot run it with a DCC system. Atlas places a small resistor on the board to prevent you from doing this. It has been proven that running straight DC engines with a DCC has the potential to seriously damage your engine. Atlas is attempting to prevent you from doing that.
Mark.

It would be nice if the OP would provide us with some more info, so we're all not just blindly guessing what he has, and what he's trying to do. He's been online here several times since he posted his request for help.

Mark: Thanks for the heads up. I will just go back to DC running on all till I get confident enough to slide into DCC. Tried to wire the layout as DCC but not really ready to go DCC with locos as I just want something for my grandson. By the time I am ready he will be old enough to appreciate it. Happy to see the forum is alive and well.

Mark: BTW When I signed up for the Forum I asked ATLAS about the problem as I registered. No one from their staff replied. You would have thought they would know the answer. Thanks again.

You are, of course, aware that Atlas Model Railroad Company has absolutely nothing to do with this forum, right? And the only reason this forum exists is because Atlas permanently shut down the forum they owned? And if you sent a message to Atlas through this forum, Atlas will never get it?
