I have a question for those of you who might be using the Digitrax IR throttles. What's the practical distance from the throttle and the UR90 receiver? Assumption being a clear line of sight.
Thanks. Bob

Been using mine 10 plus years with a DT 400 throttle and a UT4 throttle. Room is 19 by 15.Cream walls above backdrop at about 6 ft level up to 8 ft ceiling around the room . White ceilings and track lighting. Have two UR90 receivers , they are in two corners of room screwed to a remote camera bracket swiveled down at about 30 degrees. Never had a problem and line of sight not an issue. I think signal bounces good off white ceiling and cream coloured walls. I never have had to point directly at receivers. Guess my room is a good set up.I guess different folks have different experience. Receiver on fasia I believe would be a lost cause. The remote camera snake style wall brackets are perfect.I made small boxes to contain the receiver. They need their own power supply. I have a PS12 I think for each. Green LED is pretty active on face plate! Steve

Steve, thanks for the feedback. Would not have thought about mounting higher on the wall. Good suggestion.

Glad to help. Thinking about it you walk around with your throttle at about a 45 degree in you hand, not flat I don't think. So receiver up in corner of my 8 ft ceiling works great pointing down at an angle..The white ceiling and cream walls give a good bounce. Again the proof is to try it out for your situation. Those bendy snake camera wall brackets are great. Picked a couple of used ones up at a communication repair shop, they come metal and plastic. I hid the wires with that white plastic wire shield that has a peel and stick backing, there is a slit in the moulding to slide the communication wire and power wire in it for a clean look. I like neatness and overall presentation of layout means a great deal to me. Must be that army brat upbringing. Steve
