Thanks to those of you that have served our nation. Taking a break this morning to do some much needed clean up of my modeling desk, the past few weeks have been put towards getting a group of older models in shape for one of the few Seattle area swap meets. I split a table with my best buddy and took in about 20 good freight cars, several with nice loads like earth movers and pipe loads (loaded flat cars sell for big $$$) along with 3 upgraded, weathered Athearn SD40T2s. Best day ever, I cleared a cool $660.00 and got the deal of the day on these two units...……… $60.00 for the pair, both new with all parts, no boxes (I don't collect for boxes, lol!) I'll use the MP15DC as an assigned location switcher on my buddies layout the RSD15 will get stripped and painted as an ex-Santa Fe, Utah Railway unit.

Wow Mark,
Sounds like you had a great day selling stuff and the RSD15 what a deal. I paid around $180 each for the two ex ATSF Broadway RSD15's I have, #401 and #402. I think it was #403 that had more yellow on it, the latter day ATSF yellow/blue scheme - that might be a good one to repaint the SP into. Although I hate to see and SP repainted.

Thank you to any vets in our midst! A batch of Dusters I painted for a yet-unbuilt cut of Chessie flatcars, following a slide I don't have permission to post. Given I'll be modeling an army depot, these will likely be the first of many loads. Anybody got a box of those Roco DODX flats?

Along these lines I've been assembling 3 Intermountain F60s with the intent of loading some M551 Sheridan light tanks and a heavy wrecker - model railroading in the Vietnam War era.

Would love to see those when they're done! For further loads I've been considering deuce-and-a-halfs on TTX 89s, M577s on whatever those could go on (between TTX 60s or DODX heavies I guess) and/or M55s on DODX. I know all of those, like the M42s, were Letterkenny missions at some point or another.
Edit: Looks like the M577s would likely be 3 to a TTX 60' flat. Oof... it took me about an hour each to paint the treads for one M42 black, down to 35 minutes by the last few.

I have been assembling lights from fiber optic and warm white LEDs all week, so I haven't gotten any "modeling" done. I did get some of those lights installed though:

Thanks to everyone who has served so that we can enjoy all the freedoms that we do! Got some more things finished on the CSX SD35 that I have been working on. I replaced the filter screens, and removed the foot boards and filled some holes. Didn't grab a picture, but i'll post one later this week. In the meantime, here's one of my UPY GP15-1.

Just be aware that unless BLI has changed their paint formula, they do not strip well. I tried stripping one of the first RSD15's and ended up buying a new shell from BLI.
