I have been making Oregon Rail signal lights, bit of kitbash to look like Canadian Pacific with extra parts. Tom has suggested Details West 901 electrical boxes, so shall try them. Signal lights hooked up to Tortoise switch machines as they have bi color LEDs, quite happy with the finish.

I recently got back 3 engines I had sent out for Loksound/Keep alives/LEDs: 3 Overland Chessie 4-axles. Now that they have all the electronics in them, I must say they are killer engines to operate. Since none of that stuff is DCC ready, I didn't trust myself with this install so I contracted them out. Here they are being broken in on the CB&W club layout a few days ago. They pulled a 50 car train, unassisted. I finished a couple projects, finally. Both were built from Atlas undecorated kits, decaled and weathered by myself.

Fantastic work, Stottman. It's been a while since I've seen much weathering posted. The proto photo for MR 11161 must have been a challenge to work from, without a good clean side view.

A little something for our moderator Jim, I saw this fine model at a local swap meet - picked it up for you! Not Tangent.

I made a few additions to my loco fleet over the past few weeks. P2K SD60M painted to BN several years ago. I then removed the numbers and added Highball Graphics CIT decals. Kato SD90 done to NS 7284 which I photographed several years ago when it first arrived on NS. Grit blasted the model to remove the UP markings and dull the paint to a faded look. Used Microscale trim film and numbers.

Been in the basement all weekend cutting and hanging drywall on the many boxed-in ceiling beams. Fun! Not!
No layout until this is all done, a few more months.
Great photos all.
Mark, you found a real gem there!

Good evening from cloudy and cold Northeast Ohio, temps in the teens and wind chill below "0". Finally started work on some car kits, got a couple done and working on two other ones before firing up the air brush. One Front Range and one Branchline kit complete, ready for painting. An Intermountain kit and an Eastern Car Works kit in the process of assembling. A pair of SD45's with some of my new Scale Trains PS4785 Covered Hoppers. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski

Rapido SW1200RS doing a run. Curious how well does it pull? I’m guessing it’d be similar in performance to the coming SW1200s, and I’m considering preordering one.

Curious how well does it pull? I’m guessing it’d be similar in performance to the coming SW1200s, and I’m considering preordering one. My layout has quite a few curves, and is not totally flat, and mine can handle 8 cars. It would be more on straight and level track. For comparison, my Proto 2000 SW9 can pull 12 cars, and my Athearn SW1500 can handle 11.

Love the metal handrails, Rapido did a great job on them, light effects , and the under track lights and cab light look great. Steve
