Ideas for an alco rs11 sound decoder

On a disability budget what can you recommend for the older Atlas Ho rs11 i believe it's a kato chassis.

As far as a sound decoder install for said unit.

Would it be for a 244 or 251 series engine.

You get what you pay for. Either Soundtraxx (Tsunami 2) or Loksound V5 either with Alco sounds pre-installed (Soundtraxx) or sound files added at time of purchase or by you after buying a Lokprogrammer (Loksound V5). Both will cost between $85-$100 each, plus speaker.
If you don't care whether it sounds like it should, you can try to find a QSI decoder and speaker, for maybe $10 less than that. If ll you care about is price, you may be able to find an old MRC decoder that may work long enough to make it around your layout a couple of times for less than $50.

TCS WOW Sound, their ALCO sounds are really good
Tsunami2

Asking as i know quality decoders come with a price just asking so i can save up for one at a time as i have several various units that i would like to add sound too.

Since i'm not familiar enough with sound decoders that's why i asked here.

The RS-11 had the Alco 251 prime mover in it, specifically the 251B, a V-12, 4-stroke diesel producing 1800Hp.

The Alco 244's were in the RS-3, FA-1, PA-1, RS-2, etc.

Although the majority of my sound decoders are LokSound I do like the Tsunami 2 Alco 251C sound file that I have installed over the Loksound with the same speaker installed in both units ( both Alco ).

The Alco RS-11 by Atlas may have some interior space issues that you have to consider.
