The original Decoder Buddy matched up with all the decoder manufacturers 21-pin decoders. LokSound 5 gave us 4 more lighting output functions for a total of 12. The Decoder Buddy V5 is the current answer to this improvement in lighting outputs. It has 12 matched lighting outputs and is totally compatible with all the decoder manufacturers 21-pin decoders. There is a pair of outputs that have pads on both the small detachable lighting connector board and also on the motherboard which stays with the frame. This would allow for ground lights and depending on the configuration of the locomotive step lights or whatever is required. Two wire stay alive pads are more accessible as well. Cost more...
