We really need this new coupler in both N and Z.It is needed especially in Z where our cars are so light that that the MTL spring has the cars bouncing all over the place.

Be interesting to see how they operate. Claims no slink effect.....will be interesting. Maybe Micro-Trains will take notice and deal with the slink effect.

I hope this one will be easier to uncouple manually than those already on the market.

I'm looking forward to the new couplers. Now I use MT Z scale #905's and some N scale couplers. I replace all Accumates immediately. Stay cool and run steam....

Not intending to throw cold water on this but we have been down this trail before, haven't we? First came the MT coupler which was a vast improvement over the Rapido. Then came the Accumate which among the exploding couplers and lost trip pins plus the ability to self uncouple on long trains [25+ cars], did not live up to its billing. Then came the McHenry which withered on the vine for lack of support [no "T" shank or short shank and no coupler box]. I have standardized on MT's and have several hundred cars so equipped. I find them to be reliable and although they are not perfect it is not worth it for me to suddenly ditch them in favor of some new upstart that promises the world but remains unproven. When I read that someone has pulled a train with over 100 cars equipped with the new coupler with no unwanted couplings then I will consider them. My days of pushing the envelope are over. I'm sticking with the tried and true.
