I have a Team Digital SC82 servo controllers. The instructions say use tracks power or filtered 9.5 to 14 VDC.
It also says ,power supply current requirements: 20mA for the just one SC82 ,20mA for each Tortoise I won't be using tortoises, but 8 servos . I got a regulated power supply 14 volts and 1.2 amps. Do you think the power supply I have is too much ? I'm confused on the mA part.

1amp = 1000 mA. It's a matter of moving the decimal three places to convert. 20ma is .02amps. 8 times that is .16amps 1.2 amps is much more than .16amps
But "too much"?. That shouldn't matter. 1.2amps is the max the power supply will supply. It will supply anywhere from 0amps to 1.2amps. .16amps is in that range.
