I haven't started one of these in awhile, most of this is pretty easy stuff that I'm working on in addition to laying track on my layout. #My70sTrip Go Seahawks1 A big "thank you" to Ryan for the inspiring photos you posted earlier this year, I went ahead and gave this a shot, Walthers, up[graded with Tichy, Exactrail, Moloco and Plano parts. The Hooker ACF with a Plano walkway and some filth. ScaleTrains beautiful F68BH Finger Rack, what a great model! About all I did to this car was a slight reposition of the cut bar, otherwise it's just perfect out of the box. Something I starting this morning, an Athearn NACC car, I've painted the draft gear ,added ACI and COTS stencils prior to weathering.

The Hooker ACF with a Plano walkway and some filth. How late would those have operated? Your's looks like the late seventies? The hooker cars have been a long time temptation, but I just don't know if this paint would have been around in the mid-eighties.

Ive been cranking on my 2nd Fairbanks Morse engine design - a 32E14. These were pretty much the best selling generating engine for municipalities through the 1950's, with several still in use today. I ran it as a 2 cylinder just for the R&D, but will be offering it in 2, 4 and 6 cylinder configurations with line shaft pulleys or generators. Still need to add some more pieces to it and dial in the print some more, but pretty happy with it so far. Working on some undecorated Scaletrains engines for my freelance. I can understand why these manufacturers are hesitant to do undecorateds anymore. All 3 of my undecs have a number of missing parts (compounded by some parts included in multiple), as well as some parts so waffled in shipping they are usless (cut bars and air filter hatches). Great models though, and I really wish they would include ANY sort of exploded diagram. Thankfully I have built ups of both of them to know where everything goes. Both SD40-2s had bent frames as well, under the porch area. Easy enough to fix..but still need to call them tomorrow about the missing parts. I decided to plug all the holes on the SD45, as the pre drilled (tooled) holes for the wire forms are way, way too big and very noticeable with the part in it. The SD40-2s are not as bad. I have been eyeing a Concept Models Schnabel car kit for some time, and I finally pulled the trigger. I knew full well going it it would be a craftsman kit and need alot of work and upgrades, but I was kinda surprised with what came. I mean, this makes a Funaro kit look like an Overland model. The only thing usable in it is the decals. I could never, ever let a product leave my shop like this.

Wish I could tell you more about the car, the model has a '67 date IIRC, I'm modeling around '76-77 for the most part - I didn't find a shot of this specific car to work from for the weathering.

Work on my WM RS2 continues. I completed the hoods and cab (see a week or two ago) and have moved on to the sill. One thing I've been planning to 3D print is a coupler box lid that includes a rock pilot (ex-steam) for WM RS and GP7/9s. That way, just open up a hole for it in the pilot and screw it on. This will be my first unit so equipped, and I'll probably also go ahead and print a more nicely detailed coupler box while I'm at it. To include a picture, today my mediocre soldering skills yielded a set of footboards for the unit

None of the parts was usable. Threw it in the dustbin right away. Cornelius.

That Concept Models stuff is hot garbage. I've never seen a presentable car built from one of their kits.

That Schnabel car part shown in the photo looks like something that would be better done with laser cut or CNC-milled acrylic.
In resin, it looks terrible. I've seen much better results from budget 3D printers.
Everything else on Sunday Photo Fun looks amazing. Great work, everyone.
