This product from a UK company called ModelTech is really an interesting and clever idea. The ProTrack Rail Aligner is just that, a rail aligner. It creates a prefect track alignment between modules or switching cassettes. Link to YouTube video: I Started my Own Model Railway Business! Website: ModelTech
I’m not affiliated with this company, but wish them well as I think this product will be a success. Thanks, Mark

That's clever as hell and I like it. I think I'll be giving these a try. Thanks for sharing Mark.

In my planning stages of my layout and I think I'll have to have a spur run off the wall into a door jam opening to allow for proper representation of an industry I'm planning. Being that it's going to be in an awkward place I was thinking about making it detachable just past the switch, and this seems like a great way to do that. Thanks for posting.

The demonstration in the video shows the two modules being mated while sitting on a tabletop. This, of course, takes care of vertical alignment.
