What's on your list?
Train wise - some Walthers plain jane houses that might be found away from the tracks in the eighties.

What ever is on my "need" list when my next month budget free's up (re: CC cycle).
But ScaleTrains came out with a "stealth" announcement of SD40T-2's that were never up for pre-order, a new batch of D&RGW and SP "as-delivered" tunnel motors, so I treated myself to one.

Just looking for old 5-packs of Athearn RTR bathtub gondolas in Union Pacific, undecorated and/or inexpensive Walthers 53' Thrall gondolas and undecorated Intermountain ACF 2970 hoppers. I've found that it's the hunt that is the most fun. Finishing the list isn't that satisfying.

I just pulled the pin on two of the latest Walthers Mainline centerbeam, and bought some loads to go with them. Somewhat cheap and cars I'm dearly missing, so I'll get to spruce them up a bit and hopefully they pass some eye tests.
Other than that, I am going to sit on my hands for awhile unless Tangent blows something out. I'm sure I'll be having to separate cash soon for those Exactrail coil cars anyway.

I took advantage of the ScaleTrains Thanksgiving sale. I bought 2 of the UP Dash 9s with sound. All other locomotives purchased from them are in the Rivet Counter line, but at $99 9s ea. with sound, how do you pass that up. I would of sprung for 2 BNSF 9s as well but they sold out while I was trying to click around the site timeout error.

yah, me too. I ended up blowing my current month budget and got a 2nd tunnel motor.
They are doing the SP SD45 in the operator series but SP fans will note it doesn't have the L shaped engineer window which it should have for the 2nd production run built by EMD for SP. I wondered why they didn't just number the operator SP SD45 in the 8800-8844 series as those came with standard windshields. But the operator do not have RR specific details so the low nose light package is missing too. Those things along with missing separately applied detail parts are part of the cost savings of the operator series. I'm looking forward to the later SP SD45 Rivet counter with the L shaped window and high mount brake cyliners as those were very common.
Anyway, the TG sale has been a nice offering.

I bought an NP flatcar from the Black Friday sale, and an ROCK boxcar on cyber Monday.
As for a wish list:
1. Tangent NP baby high cube 2. Genesis BN F-units (why don’t they sell B-units seperate?) 3. Whatever the new Digitrax throttle is 4. More wheels of time lumber loads 5. Some 6-axle SP power (SD40T-2/SD45/SDP45/U33C)
However my hobby budget for a while is completely shot. I have a Rapido SW1200 and 6 Scaletrains SD45s coming... I’m likely gonna have to do some detail work to all of them too (mostly just change cut levers and notch pilots)

Heck I'd be more than happy to just have some time to mess with the stuff I already have.

I just got an Athearn Genesis GP39-2 in the mail – ATSF 3611. All I could wish for now would be a small fleet of woodchip gons.

It's not like they haven't earned a reputation of many delays and advertising items that end up taking a years beyond original estimated dates. I waited a good 2 years for the PFE ice reefers for example, probably longer. But their factory closed so it hit many model train companies hard.

I'm still figuring out where to preorder them – i.e. calculating preordering overseas + shipping vs. preordering "locally".
Breaking news: nine units on preorder. Let's see how long it takes.
