I'm installing sound in a Walthers Proto 2000 SW1200 switcher. It's the latest run so the new decoder is a straight drop-in and there's a speaker enclosure already built in. The speaker connection to the main board is one of those tiny (0.80 mm) plug connectors. I have some of the Bowser speaker plugs but they're too big.
Does anyone know of a source for the 0.80 mm plugs to fit the Proto locos? Thanks, David |

The speaker connection is JST SH 1.0mm 2 position.
SoundTraxx offers a JST SR 1.0mm 2 position that is compatible as well. Part number 810158.

Thanks James, I'd been told to look for a 0.80mm connector and that they were hard to find. Hard to find was true but the size was wrong. I now have the 1.0mm connectors on the way. |
