It was 50 years ago tonight I received my Treble-O-Lectric set, as seen on my website, for Christmas.
And 5 years later was my first Atlas N scale equipment.

Doug,
It's nice that you have kept your Treble-O-Lectric train set, all of these years. I know from your site that you have rebuilt them, to keep them running and looking good, even at age 50.
In todays "throw away" society it's nice that you are preserving history. We have "talk" through emails in the past, and I know you are like me, we both grew up with A1G. Even if it's not "state-of-the-art" and most folks today think it's not worth the effort to keep running.
I just came from the layout after running a 40 car coal train with, one Atlas RSC-2, and two MRC/MP C-420's (Mehano). They have been tuned and run good. I wouldn't part with them.
Take care, Merry Christmas.
Charley.

That's a great story. Vintage N scale rocks. Crude, yes but the crudeness gives it character.

There's a modeller with a superb layout who has a sense of history and will do "turn back the clock" trains comprised of early N equipment.
Running through his outstanding scenery (Sand Patch), they look less ponderous.
When that train returns to staging and the next train with current production equipment takes the stage, it's like your glasses have been cleaned and you see things a lot sharper.
