Good Evening and welcome to the 1st lounge of 2013.
It's been cloudy and cool, with drizzle to light rains most of the day in southeastern, NC. No yard work. No trains, either. I needed to get some inventory work done with some things in the house and some of the counting can get tedious. I still have to inventory the large items, but that will be done another day. I may get to the workbench for a bit, as LD had to go to work this afternoon. Hope that one and all has a good week.

Mike
My day was slow also, but did run over the LSH and pick up the newly released dome tail car for the Union Pacific Challenger train. They released the orginal version with the full drumhead and gray trucks as they were from 1955 to 1959. I watched a few freight trains and came home to get warm. Our weather is cool with rain last night so I did not stay out that long today.
We had an unexpected fire drill in church at the 9 AM service as kids in one of those jumping play houses pushed against an alarm in one of the other buildings and the whole church went into emergency. The fire department had to come and shut off the alarm but no sprinkers went off. We got about one thousand people out very quickly into a slight rain, but got to return in about five minutes. Interesting operation. The alarm from the rear building shut down the complete complex including out sound and turned on emergency lights and warnings. I was impressed with the way the system took over and shut down the building except for the emergency requirements.

A thousand people out to church at 9:00am?!?!?! I am lucky if 30 turn out to hear what I have to say. The joys of a small country church. Glad it was just a drill and no one got hurt.

Greg We are blessed with four services, two on Saturday night and two on Sunday. Not all are as large as the 9AM but we are blessed with a great message and an active outreach program. We have about that many kids also in Sunday School for the two morning services. It took about fifteen minutes for the fire department captain to reset the alarm. This gave us an extended greeting time! Larry
